A call for help

Hello,

The miracle has happened! On October 30th, 2013 I had a successful kidney transplantation in the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The donor was my father (in the picture). It is hard to describe how happy and alive I feel now. My father feels great as well. The German doctors did a wonderful job and took excellent care for both of us. Of course, there were some difficult times for me in the first months after the surgery as they are critical and the risk of rejection of the kidney is highest. These months and troubled thoughts are behind me now, it is May, 2014 and I am back to work! I have a new life, life full of energy and positive thoughts, it feels like I have been asleep for the past 4 years and now I am awake again. I would like to thank to my family and my girlfriend who were always there for me, although I was not the best person to be around of. I truly love them. I wish to thank to the company I work for and my colleagues all over the world, my friends and high-school classmates and all the people that made this possible by donating money, hope and supporting in this difficult battle. My battle is own now… we won it.
